Cookie Notice

Orthodoxy, Inc.  ·  Effective June 1, 2026

What This Notice Covers

This Cookie Notice explains how Orthodoxy, Inc. ("Orthodoxy," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar browser-based storage technologies on app.orthodoxyapp.com and related pages (the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Short version: Orthodoxy uses only the cookies necessary to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics services that share data with ad networks.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a web server. They allow the server to recognize your browser across requests and sessions. We also use localStorage and sessionStorage (collectively, "similar technologies") for the same purposes where appropriate.

Cookies We Use

Orthodoxy uses the following categories of cookies:

Strictly Necessary

These cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

Cookie namePurposeDurationParty

Functional

These cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience. Disabling them may affect Service usability.

Cookie namePurposeDurationParty
__stripe_mid / __stripe_sidSet by Stripe during billing and payment flows to prevent fraud and associate your session with a payment intent. Only present on billing-related pages.1 year / 30 minutesThird-party (Stripe)

No advertising cookies. Orthodoxy does not use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party advertising or retargeting technology. No data about your use of the Service is shared with advertising networks.

Analytics (Cookieless)

On our public marketing and content pages (such as our home page, blog, and landing pages) we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people view a page and which referring source or campaign they arrived from.

Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless: it sets no cookies and assigns no persistent identifier to your browser. It collects only aggregated, anonymized data (such as page path, referring source, approximate country, and device type) and does not track you across other websites or share data with advertising networks. We do not run this analytics on signed-in application pages.

Browser Storage (localStorage)

In addition to the cookies above, we use a small amount of first-party browser storage (localStorage) that stays on your device and is not transmitted to advertising networks:

  • orthodoxy-theme — remembers your light/dark display preference.
  • orthodoxy-attribution — records the first marketing campaign or referring source that brought you to the site (for example, UTM parameters and the referring URL), so that if you later create an account we can understand which channel introduced your firm. It contains no personal information and is set only on public pages.

You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings; doing so simply resets these preferences.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all third-party cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Because Orthodoxy's authentication relies on the strictly necessary cookies described above, blocking or deleting those cookies will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in until new cookies are set.

Browser-specific instructions are available at the browser vendor's support pages. Common links: Chrome · Firefox · Safari · Edge.

Updates to This Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice when we add or remove technologies. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects when the current version took effect. We will notify Firm Admins of material changes by email.
